Group Overview Air Mobility Group (AIRMOB) is responsible for developing and delivering Metrea's aerial refueling (AAR) capabilities, ensuring the readiness and operational effectiveness of the tanker fleet.
AIRMOB oversees fleet management, maintenance, and airworthiness, working to sustain and enhance refueling operations.
It manages the integration of new processes and technologies, ensuring that tanker aircraft remain mission-ready through effective logistics, maintenance oversight, and regulatory compliance.
By coordinating across various teams, AIRMOB ensures the fleet meets both current and future operational needs, supporting a range of specialized air mobility missions.
Position Summary The Inspection Manager oversees all inspection activities across Metrea's Air Mobility operations, ensuring products and services meet specification requirements and quality standards.
This role manages inspection teams, develops inspection procedures, and maintains measurement systems to support mission-critical deliverables.
Role and Responsibilities * Manage and lead inspection teams across multiple capability groups and projects * Develop and maintain inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality control processes * Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of measurement and test equipment * Coordinate incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities * Review and approve inspection plans and procedures for new products and modifications * Manage non-conforming material processes and disposition decisions * Maintain inspection records and documentation in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements * Train and certify inspection personnel on procedures, equipment, and standards * Coordinate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues * Support customer and regulatory audits and inspections * Manage inspection scheduling and resource allocation to meet production demands * Develop inspection metrics and reports for management review * Skills and Experience * Minimum 5 years of experience as an inspector or senior inspector at a Part 121 air carrier * Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, measurement tools, and quality control methods * Proficiency with measurement equipment including CMMs, optical comparators, and precision instruments * Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and aerospace inspection standards * Experience with inspection software and documentation systems * Strong attention to detail and analytical skills * Leadership experience managing inspection teams * Excellent communication and organizational skills * Understanding of statistical process control and quality tools * Additional Eligibility Qualifications * Part 121 air carrier inspection experience required * RII (Required Inspection Item) authorization and experience * Experience with FAA oversight and airline maintenance inspection protocols * A&P license * Physical ability to perform hands-on inspection activities and lift up to 50 pounds Our Firmware Metrea's single core value, "rooted in humility," is supported by four key attributes: entrepreneurial, systematic, discerning, and over-deliver.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time non-exempt position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.
to 6:00 p.m.
Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs.
Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require.
Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.
Work Location Moreno Valley, CA - Mixed operational environment including flight line operations, office facilities, and occasional travel locations as required Work Environment This position operates in diverse environments including active aircraft flight line operations, office settings, and various travel locations.
Work involves exposure to aircraft maintenance operations, outdoor weather conditions, and industrial noise levels.
Personal protective equipment is required when accessing operational areas.
The role requires physical mobility to inspect aircraft systems, climb aircraft, and work in confined spaces.
Travel to customer sites, vendor facilities, or other operational locations may be required.
Travel If located in the Temecula CA area (Riverside, Orange, and San Diego counties), other travel requirements are up to 25%.
