Staffmark is hiring a Mechanical Project Engineer in Memphis, TN!

Take the lead in designing and executing conveyor system projects in the automotive industry.

Pay: Based on experience Schedule: Flexible What You'll Do: * Lead mechanical engineering for conveyor system projects from concept through installation * Design conveyor equipment, structures, supports, and layouts to meet customer specifications and industry standards * Develop 2D drawings, 3D models, bills of materials (BOM), and detailed fabrication/installation documents * Perform calculations for loads, stress, tolerances, materials, and safety factors * Ensure designs comply with OSHA, ANSI, ISO, and other safety standards * Collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and installation teams for complete system integration * Specify materials, components, and fabricated parts for procurement * Provide technical support during manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning * Oversee factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site installation to maintain design integrity * Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives What We're Looking For: * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field * 5+ years of mechanical project engineering experience, preferably in automotive, conveyor, or material handling industries * Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) * Strong knowledge of material selection, fabrication, welding, machining, and structural design * Familiarity with conveyor systems, industrial automation, and material handling solutions * Experience preparing and reviewing detailed mechanical drawings and fabrication packages * Solid understanding of industry safety standards and mechanical codes * Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills * Excellent communication and collaboration skills * Willingness to travel to customer sites for installation and commissioning (up to 25-30%) Why You'll Love This Job: Our partner company can provide you with the vital benefits that you deserve.
