GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Maintenance Planner will devise plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround by managing FruitSmart CMMS planning as it pertains to work orders. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system. Works closely with mechanics and operations to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance during appropriate downtime. Utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Assisting in creating maintenance SOPs, Safety programs & SOPs, and scheduling of vendor site work.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages work requests in CMMS from other departments.
Responsible for PM system in CMMS. Writing of PM's (including Job Plans), scheduling, generating, assigning and modifications
Coordinate planned maintenance activities to reduce downtime and minimize production disruptions
Lead communication between maintenance and other departments to ensure timely, efficient service
Minimize interruptions once maintenance work is initiated
Support the maintenance team in setting maintenance workload goals and job objectives.
Lead CMMS updates and serve as administrator for system changes across locations.
Provide ongoing CMMS training to site teams
Drive continuous improvement in preventive maintenance task execution.
Use CMMS data to generate site-level maintenance reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) and manage KPI tracking.
Ensures crew scheduling is completed in a timely manner, consistent with operating requirements
Ensuring maintenance requests are tracked and reviewed on a weekly basis, including Food Safety, Employee Safety and Repair activity.
Assists in establishing and maintaining FruitSmart safety programs.
Must excel in interdepartmental communications.
Work with other departments on the use of CMMS as it pertains to Audits, GMP's
Ensure all parts are identified and on-site for planned maintenance
Maintain an electronic catalog of equipment maintenance manuals
Other duties as assigned.
WORK EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Knowledgeable with CMMS
Able to read and understand part diagrams
Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft office suite.
Display initiative and flexibility with work hours.
Ability to work overtime when required
Be available via telephone for after-hour questions
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma and/or equivalent or higher preferred.
