EHS & Sustainability Manager - North America Location: Conroe, TX (Onsite) Do you want to build a career with real impact?

Hempel is looking for an EHS & Sustainability Manager to lead Enviromental, Health, Safety and Sustainability efforts across North America.

You will ensure compliance with regulations, industry standards, and Hempel's internal policies while driving operational excellence, sustainability, and a culture of safety.

What you need to be successful in this role: QHSE Management & Compliance * Champion the region's Quality & Environmental (Q&E) management systems, ensuring smooth operation and full compliance with external certifications.

* Lead compliance with confidence, ensuring all HSE activities meet customer expectations, legal regulations, and internal standards.

* Ensure quality consistency by aligning regional practices with Hempel's internal quality requirements through the Business Management System.

* Conduct thorough internal audits, reinforce best practices in HSE product compliance, and report MEGA non-conformities to RQSC and Group Q&HSE management.

Safety, Sustainability & Culture * Build a safer workplace by developing, implementing, and promoting a proactive Health & Safety culture.

* Advance sustainability goals by aligning regional efforts with Hempel's global initiatives.

* Inspire a culture of excellence by supporting and promoting the growth of a strong Q&HSE mindset throughout the region.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement * Drive value through quality by aligning Q&E systems with global and regional business goals to support operational excellence.

* Audit with impact as a Lead Auditor to continuously improve QHSE performance.

* Drive quality excellence by leading audits and initiatives to elevate performance across all regional operations.

* Shape the future of HSE by identifying and reporting needs for data, tools, and policies while contributing to innovative HSE solutions.

Data & Budget Management * Own the numbers by collecting and analyzing Q&HSE data and KPIs from local sites, reporting in a structured, consistent manner.

* Manage budgets strategically by overseeing the annual departmental budget and forecasting for accurate financial planning.

Qualifications: * Onsite Role: Daily presence at our corporate office in Conroe, TX.

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.

* 10+ years of HSE experience, preferably in the chemical industry.

* 5+ years in a leadership or strategic HSE role.

* Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with ISO standards and OSHA regulations.

* Data-driven and tech-savvy, proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Office Suite, Outlook, ERP systems, and Chemmate.
