Position Summary
As a member of the ENTEC Team, you will support our field technicians through assisting with material ordering and delivery. You will ensure technicians have all parts needed to complete a job (organize, prepare, load/unload as required), and regularly assist in unloading trucks from suppliers, including forklift work. This role will inspect goods for defects and damages, organize space in the warehouse, perform cleaning duties, and work closely with team members from all parts of the organization, as well as vendors and customers.
This role is in-person site-based work, and typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, but may vary in order to support field technicians.
Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
Warehouse duties, including parts shipping and receiving, stocking inventory and project shelves, unloading deliveries, safe forklift operation, and maintaining tools, safety gear and supplies
Parts delivery to technicians in the field using a company vehicle
Facility Maintenance, including building upkeep and organizing supplies
This position is intended to be an introduction into HVAC mechanical service and/or Building Automation, and may provide a pathway into the local Steamfitters apprenticeship (union) program or a Building Automation technician (non-union) role within 12-18 months.
Qualifications and Capabilities
Required:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written communication
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to obtain and maintain a Class B CDL/Hazmat Endorsement which includes a physical exam and drug screen
Ability to use inventory management software and other organizational computer applications
Ability to work well in a collaborative environment, as well as to perform work independently
Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to kneel, squat, twist, bend, and reach regularly
Ability to perform repetitive hand movements, use hand tools with dexterity, and grasp and manipulate small objects
Ability to respond quickly to sounds or dangerous situations
Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
Ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds
Ability to perform work while on a ladder
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly, as required
Preferred:
Interest or experience with HVAC or Building Automation
Anticipated Salary Range and Employee Benefits
$20 - $22 per hour
