To perform diversified assembly operations to assemble intricate or large apparatus to close tolerances and inspection requirements. Ensure timely delivery of customer orders by adhering to production schedules and quality standards. Work well with different levels of management and plant supervisors as well as employees.

What you will be doing

Perform skilled fitting of parts, sub-assemblies and related units

Align, adjust and require secondary machining

Work from complicated assembly drawings and specifications

Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gauging devices to ensure proper fit

Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets or other fasteners

Work with assembly fixtures and power and air bench tools

Able to assemble all sub assemblies

Able to assemble custom orders

Double check accuracy and quality of product assembled

Recognize and report defective parts

Some lifting required of up to 50 pounds

Maintain excellent communication with other department staff

Consistently work on process improvement

Remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts

Check work and procedures of assemblers of lower classification

Record production activity into ERP computer system

Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

About you

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Three years related experience.

Skills/Abilities: Effectively communicates (written/verbal) with personnel from all departments. Excellent organizational skills.
