Harvest Research Worker

Seasonal Position!

Help out with daily tasks handling corn both inside and outside the nursery as a Harvest Research Worker in Mankato, MN!

Seasonal starts Now and goes through November.

Standing, bending, scooping, and walking are required.

Job Responsibilities:

Hand Harvest

Work in the fields to gather information and pollinate, thoroughly repeating your process.

Laying Out

Gather material to be laid out.

You will bag it and mark it, thoroughly repeating your process.

Shelling

Pick through kernels by discarding bad, discolored, or damaged product and proceed with shelling the cob creating seed packets.

Repeat your process thoroughly.

Counting

Gather materials to be counted, packeted, and sorted entering them into the computer as you go.

Repeat your process thoroughly.

Treating

Gather materials and set up your station for seed to be treated and seed that has already been treated.

Packet Treater

Apply treatment to the roller, empty packet into chamber, and let it roll until treated.

Clam Treater

Pull a full tray off the cart, transfer to the treating jog, apply treatment, cover, and place in the roller for treatment.

Sorting:

Take full trays of filled clams off a cart, then resort them into another tray based on location.

Take full trays to be sorted in the MK location intermediate.

Pay: $15/HR

Shift: Flexible Schedule (can fill part time or full-time work)

General Working Hours: 8am - 4pm (dependent on work-load and weather)
