Accounting Manager/Controller-Construction

Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager/Controller to lead their accounting team in California. This position is a remarkable opportunity for a skilled professional to manage financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records.

Responsibilities

Oversee a small team of over five employees, ensuring efficient and effective financial operations.

Utilize Deltek Vantage Point+ to manage and streamline accounting processes.

Perform month-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Manage the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations to safeguard company assets.

Lead and develop the accounting team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

Over 10 years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of financial operations and reporting.

3-5 yrs+ of construction experience.

Proficiency in Deltek Vantage Point+ is highly preferred.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Proven experience in managing a team and developing talent.Required Work Hours

The position requires availability from Monday to Friday.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000 per year, including a bonus structure.
