Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a dynamic Skilled Trades & Advanced Manufacturing Recruiter to join our team of higher education professionals who are committed to student success.

The Skilled Trades & Advanced Manufacturing Recruiter is responsible for recruiting students, both traditional and non-traditional, into programs that lead to careers in the skilled trades and advanced manufacturing industry.

Manufacturing careers may include but are not limited to machinists, process control technicians, electronics technicians or industrial systems technicians.

Skilled trades careers may include plumber, carpenter, electrician, HVAC technician, welder, and automotive technician.

Such programs lead to formal academic awards such as industry related certification, certificates, A.A.S.

degrees with employment options ranging from entry-level to supervisory in a manufacturing environment.

* Develop presentations and deliver information sessions, attend open houses and other visitation programs at high schools and conduct tour nights for individuals interested in manufacturing and skilled trade careers.

* Establish supportive relationships with high school counselors and technical education instructors in order to keep them informed regarding the programs and career opportunities for students in high growth in skilled trades and manufacturing/ advanced technology careers.

* Advise/ mentor potential students about education and career options available for manufacturing and skilled trade careers.

* Promote early college and dual enrollment opportunities.

* Respond to inquiries and make follow-up contact by telephone, email and/or direct mail.

* Recruit adult students into programs leading to careers in manufacturing and skilled trades.

* Guide skilled trades/advanced manufacturing technology students through the admissions process and provide general information about financial aid options, including traditional and non-traditional aid.

* Review various high school curricula (with program managers as needed) for preparation of articulation agreements.

* Assist in the organization of and participate in Skilled Trades/Advanced Technology Advisory Committees.

* Participate in club activities in high school and college if applicable.

* Work with employers to highlight career opportunities and job placement support for skilled trades/advanced manufacturing graduates.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate must be an engaging, effective, dedicated professional who is strategic and fosters collaboration.

This individual will be able to demonstrate the use of best practice strategies associated with recruiting students for skilled trades and advanced manufacturing careers.

This individual will demonstrate a spirit of an independent problem-solver with a strong understanding of the College's mission and goals.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to encourage, model, embrace, and incorporate diverse thought and perspective of all individuals of various backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives to foster an all-inclusive environment and drive results.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 1-2+ years' experience in adult career technical education program development and implementation; Familiarity with a secondary academic environment is preferred; Industry experience preferred.

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
