Lead Janitor

Position Summary Details The Lead Janitor oversees the cleaning and maintenance of facilities to ensure a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment.

This role includes supervising janitorial staff, coordinating cleaning schedules, inspecting work quality, and performing hands-on cleaning duties.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced in custodial operations.

Responsibilities * Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of janitorial staff.

* Train new custodial team members on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.

* Inspect facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are met.

* Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.

* Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.

* Operate and maintain cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, carpet cleaners). * Respond to urgent cleaning needs or maintenance issues.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

* Communicate effectively with management regarding staffing, supplies, and facility needs.

Qualifications * Must be 18 years of age or older.
