Based in Western Massachusetts, they have multiple offices and fabrication shops across the region, supporting projects throughout New England. With about 100 employees, they focus on life sciences, higher ed, healthcare, and pharma work-handling jobs from $20K to $60M. They're one of the largest union-affiliated mechanical contractors in New England outside of Boston and self-perform all piping and plumbing. The company has strong internal culture, long-standing client relationships, and a hands-on leadership team. With the next generation stepping in, they're continuing to grow and take on exciting work like decarbonization and energy efficiency projects.

Job Description

The Mechanical Estimator - Springfield:

Support internal teams on high-value efforts across multiple business units

Collaborate with delivery teams during planning and procurement phases

Join collaborative sessions and milestone reviews for select large-scale initiatives

Prepare cost assessments, planning tools, and scoping documentation as needed

Maintain communication with external partners and vendors to ensure alignment

Contribute to planning milestones and early-phase deliverables, including risk and logistics input

Participate in site reviews, planning days, and milestone submittals

Develop and nurture ongoing relationships with key external stakeholders

Analyze and interpret project requirements and documentation

Review internal deliverables and timelines with team leads for consensus and approval

The Successful Applicant

The Mechanical Estimator - Springfield:

5+ years of mechanical estimating experience (HVAC, piping, and plumbing)

Proficient in Procore and other construction related softwares

Ability to multitask and prioritze in an appropriate manner

Strong communication; both written and verbal

Must be commutable to Springfield, MA
