Pay Range: $23 - $25/hr. (W2)
Shift: Day Shift A - 12 hours (Sun-Wed) & (Sun-Tue)
Duration: 6 - 18 months Contract
Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1 to join our team in Boydton, VA. This role is responsible for performing a variety of inventory and logistics functions within a data center environment, including inventory tracking, materials movement, compliance audits, and decommissioning of assets. Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced technical environment with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform assigned logistics and inventory tasks, escalating issues as needed.
Execute incoming/outgoing deliveries (e.g., PO receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor [RMS] activities).
Track and stage physical inventory accurately and completely.
Conduct inventory cycle audits and data corrections.
Support compliance or certification control audit activities.
Perform material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard operating procedures.
Carry out secure destruction of Data Bearing Devices (DBDs) according to documented procedures.
Monitor systems for hardware failures or software errors.
Respond to error messages and assist in debugging or program terminations.
Operate spreadsheet and software tools for data manipulation and report generation.
Support programmers and analysts in system testing and new program rollouts.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent AND
2+ years of experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, inventory management, retail, or related field.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Previous hands-on experience in a data center environment.
Ability to follow safety protocols and wear always required PPE.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree in computer Programming or relevant technical training.
0-2 years of experience in IT operations, data center support, or logistics coordination.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Comfortable working independently and within a team.
