Fire Alarm Technician
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The primary objective of this role is to install, inspect, and maintain fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and codes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a commitment to safety and quality service.
Key Responsibilities
Install fire alarm systems according to NFPA codes and standards.
Conduct inspections and tests on existing fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire alarm equipment.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to fire alarm systems in the field.
Provide excellent customer service and support to clients regarding fire safety and alarm systems.
Document all service activities and maintain accurate records of inspections and repairs.
Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to fire protection and alarm systems.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems and relevant codes (NFPA, OSHA).
NICET certification is preferred but not required.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in the field.
Familiarity with various fire alarm brands such as Notifier, Siemens, Honeywell, and others.
Ability to travel for service calls
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
