CNC Machine Operator

We are hiring a competent CNC Operator for a local manufacturing facility. This is a great opportunity for someone right out of school and looking to gain experience. You will need to know how to run the CNC machine to safely and accurately perform a variety of functions. Maintaining, setting and adjusting the machine are all part of the operator's daily tasks.

Duties Include-

Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling etc.

Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.

Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines perform the correct function.

Prepare and load raw materials onto the machines.

Prepare a test run.

Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.

Inspect and measure finished products and compare with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.

Check, maintain and clean machinery daily.

Maintains equipment with preventive maintenance and requirements.

Complete production and quality logs.

Participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge.

Requirements

Proven experience as a CNC Operator

Know how to operate CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools

Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings

Basic understanding of CAD/CAM

Mechanical aptitude and good math skills

Keen eye for detail and result driven

Good communication

High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in CNC based extended learning programs is a plus!
