Job Responsibilities

The South Carolina Governor's School for Agriculture at John de la Howe is seeking a hardworking and dependable candidate just like you to apply! Responsibilities of the School and Community Academic Resources Coordinator:
To identify the necessary resources, procure them and integrated them into the educational environment. To provide support to all the departments to help cany out the mission and vision of the agency. The employee will work under limited supervision under the principal. Some weekends and evening hours may be required. Domestic and International travel with students and stakeholders is required for this role. Weeks may exceed 37.5 hours depending on travel, student events, and agency events. Driving a state vehicle is required. The employee can be a non-certified teacher, will be on teacher pay scale, most likely working 220-240 days per school year. Domestic and international travel required for this role, as role coordinates student FBLA {Future Business Leaders of America) completions and travel and coordinates and chaperones student international travel. This position will regularly work over 37.5 hours weekly, depending on student activities, travel, and campus events/activities. Employee will participate in all educator meetings assigned by the principal.
Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to identify and train on new educational resource.
Developing and maintaining resources for data bases, inventories, and the distribution of resources for parties.
Assessing the effectiveness of resources in melting educational goals while staying current on educational tools and trends.
Performing need assessments.
Scheduling educational meetings or events.
Using social media to build presence.
Building partnerships with local support agencies for the benefit of the community and local workshops.
Sponsor a national recognized club or organization.
Teach classes assigned by the principal.
Plan and attend local, state, and international trips with students as well as work with other departments on field trips and summer camps.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the principal.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree and valid driver's licenseAdditional Requirements:
Must be able to use tact in stressful situations and have a positive attitude when working with others.
Must be able to effectively communicate with others both written and verbally.
Ability to work with students, faculty/staff, community members, and all stakeholders.
Employee needs to have teaching experience or experience working with high school students, domestic and international travel experience and social media experience.
Agricultural experience is a plus. Media center/library experience is a plus.
Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to drive a state vehicle.
