HiFyve is hiring an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager in the Food & Beverage industry in the La Crosse Area / Western Wisconsin!
Salary: $100,000-$120,000/yr (Relocation assistance offered)
Shift: Full-Time, On-site
Location: La Crosse Area / Western Wisconsin (includes 40% travel)
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure facility compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and internal standards
Develop and implement compliance plans for air and water permits, including management of WPDES permits
Oversee and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) programs in collaboration with plant leadership
Conduct regular plant inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions related to equipment, processes, and facility operations
Perform industrial hygiene monitoring, including air quality and noise exposure assessments, and conduct respirator fit testing
Lead EHS training programs, including new employee orientations and monthly safety meetings
Investigate all workplace incidents, environmental releases, and near misses, and report findings using corporate EHS systems
Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work activities with managers and healthcare providers
Maintain accurate EHS records and documentation required for legal and regulatory compliance
Build and maintain productive relationships with local agencies such as fire, police, wastewater, and WDNR officials
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Health, and Occupational Safety or related field
ASP, CSP, CIH, or other related certifications preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
5-7 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
Ammonia/PSM experience required
In-depth understanding of OSHA, EPA, and DNR regulations
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Proficient in EHS software and general computer applications
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work independently
Willingness to travel up to 40%
