SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Primary responsibilities include performing activities related to preparation and maintenance of outdoor athletic fields and indoor athletic equipment/facilities and operations, maintaining and repairing the physical plant components related to athletic and indoor PE space and coordinate activities of contractors engaged in maintaining and repairing the related physical plant components. This position supervises an assigned employee from the Grounds Management Services contractor who is made available to assist this position with preparation and maintenance of the Huntley High School outdoor athletic facilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: This position acts as the primary liaison between the Athletic Director and the Operations & Maintenance office for physical plant issues. Responsibilities include preparing athletic areas for events, maintaining athletic fields (requiring a fertilizer/herbicide license), addressing athletic department requests and complaints, assisting with safety and security, overseeing grounds maintenance contractors, managing physical plant equipment for events, processing work orders and related paperwork, participating in preventative maintenance, coordinating special functions, maintaining the appearance of the physical plant, and assisting with custodial work and snow removal. Commercial Not for Hire Applicator or Operator License required.
