Job Title: Diesel Mechanic- Tractors

Job Summary
The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered tractors and equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. This role plays a critical part in supporting production, customer satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency at Bad Boy Tractors.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems.
Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and adjustments on tractors and related equipment.
Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and technical schematics to identify and resolve issues.
Test equipment to ensure repairs are completed to company standards and manufacturer specifications.
Document repairs, parts usage, and maintenance activities accurately in service records.
Order and replace defective parts as needed.
Maintain tools, shop equipment, and a safe, clean work environment.
Assist with root cause analysis on recurring equipment issues to improve reliability.
Provide technical support to production and assembly teams when needed.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
Technical certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
2+ years of diesel mechanic experience in tractors, agricultural equipment, or heavy machinery.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift regularly.
Stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
Tolerance for working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Comfortable working with grease, oil, noise, and heavy machinery.
