Job Title: Mold Setter - 1st Shift (Start Time: 5:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $23.35/hour
Location: Tupelo
Schedule: Full-time, 1st Shift (Monday-Friday, occasional weekends)
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Mold Setter to join our team on 1st shift. This position is responsible for setting, changing, and maintaining molds in a fast-paced thermoforming or injection molding production environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and install molds according to production schedules and specifications
Conduct mold changes efficiently to minimize downtime
Perform pre- and post-production inspections of mold components
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve setup issues
Ensure all equipment and machinery is operated in compliance with safety guidelines
Document mold setup procedures and update records as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the mold storage and setup areas
Support continuous improvement efforts focused on productivity and quality
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 year of experience in mold setup in a manufacturing environment (plastic thermoforming or injection molding preferred)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods)
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
Forklift certification is a plus
