Summary

The Aftermarket Quote Specialist works in a fast-paced environment and must be able to successfully manage numerous quoting and customer service inquiries simultaneously, while also bringing them to resolution as quickly as possible. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, flexible, and customer centric. The AQS will support customers by coordinating with a cross-functional team to understand project scope, while providing rapid responses and technical support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a sales and service environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This hands-on position is perfect for someone who wants to develop this role by taking ownership, supporting, and driving revenue.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Review requests for quotes (RFQs) and ensure all necessary information is obtained from the customer and can be accurately quoted

Create & deliver accurate and timely quotations for customers, ensuring that all information is complete and meets company standards

Request status updates from customers on projects in the quote pipeline

Manage daily business for customers including but not limited to:

Respond to customer inquiries for updates on order fulfillment

Provide updates on order delivery changes

Acknowledging and resolving customer complaints

Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to customer inquiries and concerns

Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

Review purchase orders and ensure pricing, quality certificates, and compliance requirements are consistent with quotes

Support and/or manage the RMA (Return Materials Authorization) Process (customer repair and returns)

Ability to prioritize tasks and self-manage daily workload

Qualifications & Education Requirements

Associate's degree in business administration, management, technical degree, or equivalent experience

Three years of inside sales and/or supporting customer account growth experience required, and preferably within the manufacturing industry

High degree of written and verbal communication, ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously

Service minded and proactive day-to-day with the ability to work independently, and support both internal and external customers and teams

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address client needs effectively

Possess strong analytical skills to analyze the impact of decisions before execution; must be detailed oriented and thorough in work habits with an ability to multi-task.

Self-motivated and results oriented. Takes initiative to expand knowledge for position utilizing all available sources.

Results-driven professional, skilled in analytical problem-solving and strategic decision-making

Ability to understand and execute on complex processes

Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate customer need fulfillment

Must be customer focused, pro-active and driven to succeed

Previous experience using CRM and ERP systems required

Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook; advanced Excel preferred

Excellent technical aptitude, analytical and detail desired

Basic understanding of diesel engines preferred

Travel up to 10%, domestic (service centers and customer sites)

This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data.
