Job Summary:

Trileaf is seeking a FULL-TIME Environmental Project Scientist with 0-1 years of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work on commercial real estate projects, to include Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs). This position is located in the Austin area. Candidates will work on-site.

Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site as needed

Conducting interviews, in person, via email, and phone

Performing regulatory agency file reviews

Reviewing historical data (including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial photographs)

Prepare and Review of Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessment Reports

Perform QA/QC of field notes

Conducting field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor air

Compare analytical contaminant data collected to applicable regulatory standards

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered, the resume of the applicant must demonstrate the following qualifications/skills:

Attention to detail

Valid driver license

Capable of field work

Ability and willingness to travel 25% (travel not expected to exceed 2 days at a time)

Good computer skills

Phase I Assessments

NEPA Assessments

Preferred Qualifications / Experience:

Licensed Asbestos Inspector (optional not required)

Lead Based Paint Inspector (optional not required)

NEPA Assessments

40 hrs./active HAZWOPER Certification

Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528)

Environmental Professional (EP)

Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography or related fields
