Academic Interventionist

Responsibilities/Requirements:

Provide Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 Interventions to qualifying students in math across all elementary schools;

Collaborate with the Director of Elementary to develop criteria, screening protocols, and select students for Academic Intervention.

Diagnose and evaluate math strengths and weaknesses of individual students and groups of students. Assist, as appropriate, in the determination of student placement in instructional groups.

Maintain appropriate records regarding completed evaluations of students, and communicate individual progress to families through progress reports and regular family updates on student growth and areas of need of support.

Specialized training or experience in tiered interventions or Middle School Math Endorsement;

Interest and willingness to serve on the building based I&RS team for 2025-2026

Support professional development in Math to ensure Tier 1 & Tier 2 classroom instruction meets the needs of students.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.

Demonstrated record of improved student achievement and data-informed planning.

Experience teaching general and/or special education students in grades K-5.

Other such duties may be assigned by the Directors of Elementary and Secondary Education, or Superintendent.

Compensation: per contract

Reports to: Director of Elementary Education.
