We are seeking friendly and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinators to join a busy retina specialty practice. No prior ophthalmology experience is required-we will provide training. This role is ideal for someone with strong check-in/check-out experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical office.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Open and close the office daily
Collect and organize pre-files (records from referring offices)
Review records to determine urgency of visits
Patient check-in and check-out
Scheduling appointments
Collecting patient payments (copay and self-pay)
Supporting providers with clinic flow as needed
Qualifications
Previous patient check-in/check-out experience required
Strong computer and typing skills
Pleasant phone demeanor and clear communication skills
Ability to multitask and work in a busy office environment
No ophthalmology experience required
Additional Information
Schedule:
Start time: 7:30am (must arrive before patients to open the clinic)
End time: Generally around 6pm, but flexibility required to stay for emergency patients/surgeries
Dress Code: Scrubs
Background: A credit check will be completed due to handling of patient payments
