Position Summary

Assistant Branch Manager II will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and staffing of the branch by maintaining a working knowledge of all products, services, and organizational policies/procedures. This role is responsible for providing a high level of quality service while cross-selling bank services, providing employee and customer guidance, demonstrating leadership, facilitating training, and organizing the branch team schedule.

Essential Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

Promote company values, mission, and vision

Execute strategic goals (short-term and long-term)

Foster innovation and effective communication

Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Perform duties and responsibilities of the branch manager in their absence

Participate in community involvement initiatives

Branch Operations

Oversee daily operations and financial performance

Conduct branch meetings and ensure cleanliness and organization

Evaluate procedures and implement best practices

Support performance expectations and goals for direct reports

Team Development

Recruit, mentor, and empower high-performing teams

Provide coaching and performance evaluations

Develop succession and retention plans for top talent

Customer Relations & Business Development

Maintain customer relationships and develop new business

Deliver personalized service and identify financial solutions

Handle escalated customer issues and ensure confidentiality

Administrative & Compliance Duties

Audit cash, accounts, loans, and reporting

Manage account servicing, loan documentation, and funding

Ensure compliance with deposit policies, lending policies, and security procedures

Competencies & Qualifications

Strong leadership and decision-making abilities

Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Team-oriented with a willingness to take on new responsibilities

High school diploma or equivalent

One to two years' experience in a financial institution preferred

Management experience preferred

Excellent customer service skills

Working knowledge of MS Office products

New accounts and IRA experience preferred

Ability to proactively solicit new business
