Downtown Jo's is looking for full-time and part-time Line Cooks with Wednesday and Thursday morning availability.
The kitchen opens at 7am and closes at 6pm.
Starting pay is $18.00.
We're looking for someone with: • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) • A great attitude and a desire to make great food for our guests • Two (2) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred but not required • Experience with Expo/calling tickets preferred but not required • Ability to stay cool during a rush • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace.
Spanish/English bilingual is a bonus!
Job Responsibilities: • Prepare a variety of foods, according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices • Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters • Maintain a positive relationship with all employees and guests • Always ensure open lines of communication with all departments and upper management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc., to ensure all business needs are met • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition "All qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status."
