Description

SpeechCom Inc. is hiring a special education teacher with a Moderate to Severe, California Services Credential, to serve a school district in the Santa Clarita area of Los Angeles, CA for the 25/26 school year.

Rate of Pay: $55-$65 per hour W2 (depending on experience)

Hours: Full-time, maximum of 40 hours per week

Details:

Start Date: September 15, 2025 through February 2026; assignment can potentially extend based on the maternity leave

Regional Autism Program - First Grade Students

Moderate to Severe Needs

Must pass LiveScan

TB Test Clearance

Must have CA teaching credential

Requirements

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs

Utilize learning technology and assistive devices to enhance student learning

Use effective behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive social skills

Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure the success of each student

Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field

Experience working with students with special needs

Knowledge of learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other special education needs

Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies

Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development for diverse learners

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students
