MS Head Scholar Bowl Coach

The Macon R-1 School District is seeking applicants for an opening of MS Head Scholar Bowl Coach for the 2025-2026 school year to organize, train and mentor a team of students to prepare for academic competitions.

The coach will foster a positive learning environment that emphasizes teamwork, critical thinking, academic excellence and sportsmanship.

Candidates must have or be able to attain a minimum of an appropriate Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate.

Qualifications: Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills. Ability to organize practices, develop team strategy and prepare students for competitive academic tournaments. Must possess a strong knowledge base across multiple academic disciplines. Experience working with middle school students. Excellent organziational and communication skills. Ability to motivate and mentor students of varying ability levels.
