Description:

We’re looking for an on-site Assistant Property Manager in the luxury residential property management industry.

Our client is a respected and growing property management firm that prides itself on positive culture, collaboration, and exceptional resident service. The Assistant Property Manager will support day-to-day property operations at a luxury apartment while providing leadership to site staff, ensuring smooth leasing processes, financial accuracy, compliance with tenancy legislation, and a strong resident experience.

Hours are:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and month-end deadlines (including holidays), and to be present on-site during emergency situations.

Assistant Property Manager responsibilities:

Oversee leasing activities, renewals, and compliance with tenancy legislation

Ensure accurate set-up of new and renewing residents in Yardi, including agreements and records

Conduct move-ins, move-outs, inspections, and related documentation

Manage resident relations, conflict resolution, arrears follow-up, and service requests

Support preparation of budgets, variance reporting, and monthly property management reports

Collaborate with service, operations, and accounting teams on invoices, POs, and reporting

Plan and support resident engagement activities, newsletters, and community events

Supervise and support the Community Administrator, Leasing Team, and Concierge staff

Provide coaching on Yardi workflows and ensure adherence to company policies

Be present on-site as needed during emergencies to ensure safety and continuity

The successful candidate has:

3+ years of experience in residential property management

1+ years in a supervisory or leadership role

Knowledge of Alberta Residential Tenancies Act (Real Estate Associate license an asset)

Strong communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills

High attention to detail, organizational ability, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi (preferred)

Professional demeanor with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities

Police clearance required

Compensation and benefits:

The discussed salary is $65,000- $75,000 CAD

Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
