Roosevelt City is looking for a dedicated Police Officer to join our community-focused law enforcement team. Our department thrives on teamwork, professionalism, and a strong connection to those we serve. Starting pay begins at $21.60 per hour, with minimal experience. Pay can be negotiated upon higher experience. Excellent benefits and a supportive environment where you're more than just a badge-you're family. Pay scale is on a 15 year step with 3% increases.

What You'll Do as a Police Officer
No two days are the same. As a Police Officer, you'll perform a variety of technical law enforcement duties-from patrolling neighborhoods and investigating crimes to supporting emergency management and serving as a school resource officer. You might find yourself involved in:
Investigating theft, fraud, and felony cases
Responding to domestic incidents and emergency calls
Conducting traffic enforcement and accident response
Participating in K-9, SWAT, or drug interdiction operations
Engaging with the community through school visits and public events
Securing courtrooms, managing evidence, and executing warrants
Providing aid and support during crises and high-risk situations
Your role as a Police Officer will have a direct impact on public safety, community trust, and the overall well-being of Roosevelt's citizens.
Your Schedule
The Police Officer role follows a rotating day and night schedule, built around a 5 on, 2 off, 2 on, 5 off rotation. This schedule allows for both structure and flexibility while ensuring you have meaningful time off to recharge.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a Police Officer who thrives in dynamic environments and is ready to make critical decisions under pressure. Candidates must:
Have education and/or experience in law enforcement or criminal justice
Be able to perform duties involving personal risk and emergency response
Understand investigative techniques and legal procedures
Demonstrate strong communication, integrity, and community engagement
Be capable of working in patrol, traffic, or specialized units
Meet all state certifications and standards for peace officers
Whether you're tracking suspects, calming volatile situations, testifying in court, or mentoring youth, you'll play a crucial role in our commitment to community safety.
