We are searching for a talented and experienced Maintenance Technician for an automotive plant in Montgomery, AL. This individual will provide maintenance on production machinery ensuring high quality interior automotive parts.
Summary of position:
Reporting to the maintenance supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring production equipment is always in operational condition, they will minimize breakdowns by performing preventative maintenance and will be prepared for emergency repairs. They will also be responsible for the maintenance and operational condition of the building.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance according to company requirements and the annual maintenance plan
Expedites work assigned by the maintenance supervisor or manager
Maintains continuous communication with the maintenance supervisor and production team leaders to expedite equipment repairs and work assignments
Troubleshoot and repair non-functioning production and building equipment in a timely manner
Adheres to all Safety procedures and maintains compliance with the Company Safety Policy
Reports daily work completed and problems solved to the maintenance supervisor
Maintains a written daily log of repairs, spare parts used and occurrences within the plant
Assists in the installation of equipment
Performs other duties as assigned related to maintenance
Required Skills/Experience
5 years of experience in industrial maintenance with molding injection and/or assembly lines utilizing Siemens Controls is required
Ability to diagnose and repair issues with electrical and electronic equipment and components
Ability to fully utilize a multi-meter
Proficient working with schematics, control wiring, motor starters, relays, VFDâ s, I/O modules, sensors, and circuit breakers
Must have prior knowledge of AC/DC theory
General knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic theory
Outstanding communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Actively seeks areas for improvement and provides solutions
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Knowledge and use of PPE may be required
Experience diagnosing PLC and HMI Siemens issues is preferable
Experience with ABB robots (desired)
The pay range is $19.00 - $24.00 per hour and is a Direct Hire placement.
