Corn Receiver Area Lead - Columbus, NE
Position Summary: Day to Day Operations of Corn Receiving
Job Responsibilities:
Monitors safety interlocks and alarms such as dust collectors and equipment jams and ensures that all dust collection systems and their alarms are working correctly, and if not, reports problems immediately to the appropriate individuals.
Understands lockout/tagout/tryout procedures and confined space procedures, and monitors compliance regularly, reporting safety discrepancies in a timely manner.
Works closely with Maintenance lead and planner scheduling jobs in area.
Maintains the corn receiving control room, MCC area, driveway, silo pits, canals and corn receiving pits in an orderly and clean condition.
Works closely with non-employees, maintaining effective communications and presenting a positive company image.
Reports current problems or circumstances that affect area GMP’s as required.
Understands the entire rail/truck corn receiving system, including the pit areas, conveyors, silo equipment, ground pile, and alarms.
Monitors the silo inventory, direct corn movement from silos and keeps accurate records of corn shipment receipts.
Keeps track of the onsite Bin Quality Manual and rotates silos as needed while keeping record of last empties.
Conducts weekly Fenwal inspections in truck and rail area along with bump testing the gas monitors.
Go through Rail Safety Training to assist spotting rail to dump and offload corn trains if needed.
Enters new vendors in the computer, as required.
Obtains maintenance support to correct departmental problems by requiring a work order.
Provides training to and instructs other employees in following established job procedures and departmental guidelines.
May conduct preventative maintenance duties on equipment, such as periodic inspections, as assigned.
Maintains a positive working relationship with fellow employees and the public.
Performs duties in a safe manner, utilizing all approved safety equipment, and successfully completes all safety certification requirements.
Required to attain labor grade 7 by becoming CSD trained and maintenance program trained.
Assists in keeping the department in tour ready condition.
May need to work outside of normal hours (adjust schedule) to meet shuttle incentives and harvest
Inspections of CSDs onsite and working with Instrumentation during inspections.
Ground Pile preparation for harvest season and daily inspections of pile upon completion.
Using Purchasing Programs to order equipment and labor (Coupa)
Able to cover for Area Leadership
Work with corn merchandising on train scheduling and truck readinessEducation Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business or operations related field preferred, or equivalent on-the-job experience.Required Experience:
Must Successfully complete all ADM Safety Certification requirements
Will be required to attend CSD training
Will be required to attend mechanical classes offered by ADM
Will be required to attend Grain Masters AcademyDesired Experience:
Good regular and prompt attendance history
Excellent safety record and awareness
Previous plant and forklift experience
Good organizational and communication skills, and must be self-motivated
Ability to work well with others and with little supervision – (Required)
Ability to team build, train, and work on multiple tasks concurrently
Willingness to assume and learn new responsibilities
Housekeeping and sanitation skills (MSS)
Willingness to work overtime when necessary
Attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills
Knowledge of Policy Tech and Standard Operating ProceduresADM requires the successful completion of a background check.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay for this position is expected to be:
$27.37 - $30.41
