Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen for an Infrastructure Engineer to support and manage infrastructure services, systems, applications, and hardware in line with GKN standards and industry best practices. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, assisting front-line IT staff with complex infrastructure challenges, and ensuring effective documentation and communication of problems and risks to maintain compliance and timely resolution.
Develops, maintains and administers infrastructure services, systems, applications and configurations and related hardware in accordance with GKN standards and industry best practices
Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving system, software and hardware problems
Support, Supports front line IT staff in complicated infrastructure related matters
Documents, tracks, monitors, and communicates problems and business risks to ensure timely resolution and compliance.
This role offers a hybrid working pattern.
How You’ll Contribute
Deliver infrastructure services to agreed SLA requirements
Troubleshoot/resolve problems associated with the infrastructure environment
Work with hardware/software vendors to resolve technical support issues
Coordinate and work with global architects and other regional Data Center teams to ensure infrastructure and systems meet GKN Aerospace standards in regards to functionality, security, and maintainability
Deploy industry best practice approaches and standards
Procure and replace hardware components when required
Actively monitor the system infrastructure to manage business systems and security risks
Actively works with automating the IT infrastructure delivery
Work with the following Key Processes:
o Event Management; monitoring, measuring against SLA, triggering and reporting
o Incident Management; log all incidents and resolve as quickly as possible
o Change Management; process approved changes from Build into Run
o Request Management; manage all requests to resolution or escalation
o Asset & Configuration Management; manage resources and configurations required to deliver services to agreed SLA
What You’ll Bring

Essential
Relevant Degree or equivalent experience
IT infrastructure experience
An ability to follow processes
Self-driven with a motivation to succeed and provide world class services to the business
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Experience working in a high availability, high demand environment
Able to work effectively in a virtual team environment
Strong documentation skills
Good communication skills in English and native language – both verbal and written
Desirable
Technical certifications in Operating Systems, Microsoft Azure or equivalent
echnical certifications in Powershell or other relevant script technologies
