Ignite is currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented Software Product Owner to join our team supporting he Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO) in Huntsville, AL. This position is expected to be onsite.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). The PO will be responsible for the prioritization and validation of the development software for the Infrastructure Services & Libraries (ISL) team. The position will include reviewing/understanding Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms and providing guidance to the development team. The PO will support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for software updates and be responsible for their verification. The product owner will work with Program Management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint. The position will include technical briefings, demonstrations and advisement to leadership. The product owner will report on status; recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
• The candidate will need to have a good understanding of: ansible and/or other scripting languages; data logging and archiving best practices; weapon system component health & status reporting best practices; the DDS standard; C++ and Java code. The candidate must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Toolset
• 7+ combined Government/DoD Experience in performing the duties listed above
• Experience in JIRA/Confluence is a plus.
• An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Secret security clearance or higher or the ability to obtain one.
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics
Other Requirements:
Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold an active Security Clearance
