Automotive Paints Technician

Exquisite Solution Limited, a leading HR recruitment and management firm, is seeking an Automotive Paints Technician on behalf of our client in the manufacturing sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the formulation and application of automotive paints.

This role requires a strong understanding of color codes, raw materials, and the cost implications involved in paint production.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and mix coating formulations according to specified guidelines to achieve the desired color and finish.

Provide customers with technical information on paint products to support their selection process and assist in making informed decisions.

Advise customers on the appropriate combination of products and correct procedures for applying automotive paints.

Detect and account for variations in raw materials to ensure accurate color matching and consistency.

Keep the workspace, tools, and equipment clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.

Consistently wear and maintain all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, in compliance with health and safety standards.

Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations regarding the handling and use of paints, thinners, and other hazardous materials, and promptly report any non-compliance to management.

Prepare and submit detailed weekly and monthly reports on completed tasks and activities.

Perform other related duties as assigned to support operational needs Qualifications and Requirements Minimum of a Diploma in a relevant field.

At least 2 years of hands-on experience in automotive paint manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of automotive paint products and processes.

Proficient in basic mathematics for surface area and equipment calculations.

Computer literate, with the ability to operate paint machines and related software.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
