Job Description

Expert Staffing West is seeking skilled Steel Erectors/Iron Workers to join our team and assist with the assembly and installation of structural steel frameworks. As a Steel Erector, you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, lifting and aligning steel beams, and securing them into place using various tools and equipment.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong understanding of construction safety protocols and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The Steel Erector must be able to work at heights and in various weather conditions, demonstrating a high level of physical fitness and stamina.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of the steel structure.

2. Lift, position, and secure steel beams and columns in place using cranes and other equipment

3. Bolt or weld steel components together to form the structural framework.

4. Inspect and repair any defects in the steel structure.

5. Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.

6. Collaborate with other team members, such as welders and ironworkers, to complete projects efficiently.

7 Connecting and picking steel I beams and setting them and bolting them in place.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Prior experience working as a Steel Erector or in a similar role.

- Crane Operator Hand Signs

- Scissor Lifts

-Core Drilling

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

-Using spuds and connecting techniques to get steel in place

-Steel toe boots are a must

Full-time
