Senior Process Engineer role at WSP in Canada. The opportunity supports our Energy subsector within the ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, delivering design, engineering and environmental services across Canada and globally to upstream, midstream, or downstream oil and gas activities and energy transition markets. The team focuses on climate adaptation and mitigation, water and marine resource protection, biodiversity, and low carbon solutions, with the aim of meeting high industry standards and driving innovation.
To meet growth, WSP is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our teams located in Calgary, AB, Edmonton, AB or Ontario offices. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will act as the process discipline lead on projects ranging from conceptual studies to detailed engineering of large megaprojects and will design facilities across Canada and globally as part of our expanding Energy & Process division.

What you can expect to do here
The role includes functioning as the process discipline lead on projects, managing client relationships, project quality, and ensuring that budget and schedule targets are met.
Coordinate with team members, other WSP groups, equipment vendors, clients and sub-contractors.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, process schematics, and layout drawings; review deliverables produced by junior and intermediate colleagues.
Process and technology selection, equipment sizing and specification, mass balance, hydraulic analysis, 3D layout review; review of analyses and designs by junior and intermediate colleagues.
Mentor and provide on-the-job training for junior and intermediate colleagues.
Manage multiple projects concurrently, including resource management, time management, budgeting, strategy development, staff reviews, and training programs; provide project support to senior staff as required.
Primarily hybrid-based consulting engineering work with some opportunities for business travel and fieldwork.
What you’ll bring to WSP
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
12+ years of experience as a process engineer in a consulting environment; leading experience is an asset
Experience in oil and gas (gas processing), hydrogen, and carbon capture facilities
Current P.Eng license in your province of residence
Experience with HYSYS or Promax software packages is an asset
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
Strong project management and discipline lead capabilities
