A Sales Manager ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings. Ensures customer retention and profitability in dealership by training and measuring the performance of salespeople and establishing customer- focused standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the negotiation process with Sales Consultants ensuring that customers understand their vehicle purchase options and pricing

Desk deals based on current offers and incentives

Appraise vehicles for trade

Ability to handle and resolve guest issues or concerns promptly and professionally

Develop, engage, and motivate the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations and best practice processes

Weekly team coaching, reporting and accountability meetings with sales team

Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate and interact effectively with guests and associates from each department within the dealership

Understand, abide by and implement federal, state, and local regulations

Performs other related duties as assigned
