Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel job in West Branch, Michigan.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Nuclear Medicine TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalDuration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: Travel Key ResponsibilitiesRadiopharmacy & Radiopharmaceuticals (20%)Prepare, assay, and administer radiopharmaceuticals.Calculate activity concentrations/dosages per protocol.Document doses in tracking system.Perform lab procedures for kits/unit doses.Nuclear Medicine Protocols (20%)Perform diagnostic procedures using gamma cameras (planar/SPECT) & PET.Position patients, monitor during studies, and apply correct acquisition parameters.IV Access & Patient Care (20%)Start IVs with aseptic technique.Select appropriate sites and ensure safe access.Instrumentation & QC (20%)Operate all Nuclear Medicine devices (gamma cameras, PET, counters, calibrators).Perform and document required quality control.Radiation Safety (20%)Apply ALARA principles (time, distance, shielding).Follow NRC guidelines for handling/transporting radioactive materials.Monitor and document patient/staff exposures.
