Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including:Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife Insurance and Short/Long Term Disability401(k) PlanPaid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO)Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Stock Purchase Plan Casual, PRN, and Part-Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.Your Role and Responsibilities As a Histotechnologist, you will:Process human tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic examinationProduce histopathological slides from surgical specimensSection embedded tissue using a microtome and mount sections on microscope slidesConduct immunohistochemical tests on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sectionsPerform routine and special staining proceduresMaintain laboratory instruments and ensure quality controlDocument equipment maintenance and adhere to laboratory policiesReport accurate and timely test results to support quality patient careWhat We’re Looking For To thrive in this role, you should have:A Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical TechnologyFlorida Histotechnologist license (required)Histology and/or ASCP certifications (preferred)Previous experience in histology (preferred but not required)Familiarity with routine histology procedures and equipmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work in a high-volume laboratory environmentComfort with embedding both large and small specimensSuccessful completion of medical surveillance testing as part of onboarding Labcorp is committed to ensuring the safety of our patients.
