Our facility is a 95-bed, Joint Commission-accredited acute care hospital providing vital services to Giles County and the surrounding area.Job Details\tOrientation: Weekly, on Mondays\tLocal Rate: Competitive\tTravel Requirement: Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility\tShift: 7P - 7A\tWeekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours\tWeekend Hours: Every other weekend and as neededRequirements\tCertifications: BLS, ALS, PALS (Handle with care post-hire)\tExperience: Preferred 5 years, acceptable with 3 years\tEducation: ASN minimum; Licensure/certification to work as an RN in TN\tMust be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to startUnit Information\tDepartment: Detox\tNumber of Beds: 13\tPatient Ratios: 1:7\tEquipment: IV pumps, zoll monitor, IV catheters\tEHR: HMS/MedhostPatient Population Ages 18 to Geriatric (occasionally 17-year-old patients).Desired Skills and Experience\tPatient care for all ages\tBedside shift report\tIV access\tPreferred: Experience with CIWA/COWS, assist with bedside procedures such as picc lines/midlinesCommon Diagnoses and Treatments Substance abuse, polysubstance abuse, ETOH, underlying behavioral conditions, hypertension, syncope, seizures, liver disease, cognitive changes, high fall risk.
