TRANSTAR AIRCRAFT INTERIOR LLC is immediately hiring for an experienced Aerospace Inspector for a small manufacturing client located in Arlington, TX.
TranStar Aircraft offered competitive compensation as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts: Monday - Friday 6am – 2:30pm.
Responsibilities of the Aerospace Inspector:
Perform inspections of aircraft parts, assemblies, and systems using precision measuring tools and testing equipment.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical manuals, and work instructions.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA regulations) and internal quality control procedures.
Document inspection results, discrepancies, and non-conformances in inspection reports and quality records.
Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
Conduct first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product inspections.
Use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, borescopes, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Maintain calibration and condition of inspection equipment.
Participate in audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure workplace safety and cleanliness in compliance with company policies.
Preferred Qualifications of the Aerospace Inspector:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in aerospace, manufacturing, or quality preferred.
3+ years of experience in aerospace inspection or related field.
Knowledge of FAA regulations, AS9100, and other aerospace quality standards.
Proficiency in using inspection tools and interpreting technical documents.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Good verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) or CMM operation is a plusCompany Description
