We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for a 96-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Oct 6, 2025. This position features a four-day workweek with 10-hour shifts, caring for an established outpatient panel with scheduled primary care visits and some acute cases as needed.

Schedule: 8:30am - 6:30pm, four 10-hour shifts per week; may transition to Monday through Friday, 8-hour days
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide outpatient care for both acute and chronic conditions
Conduct wellness exams and preventive screenings
Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and asthma
Address substance use disorders through the MaT program
Care for minor injuries and wounds
Deliver pediatric care including immunizations
Manage geriatric care and chronic conditions
Address behavioral health concerns including depression and anxiety
Educate patients on lifestyle, prevention, and self-management
Coordinate referrals and specialty care, including telehealth
Deliver culturally sensitive care for the Native community
Accurately document care in the EHR
Support after-hours urgent care needs
Collaborate with lab, pharmacy, and other departments to ensure follow-up
Participate in quality improvement and PCMH standards
Additional Information
Must hold an active license to practice in California
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
Experience with a diverse patient population across all age groups is beneficial
