PROCUREMENT TEAM LEAD

We are looking for a Procurement Team Lead to oversee and manage our procurement operation, ensuring the acquisition of goods and services while maintaining strong vendor relationships. The Ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and deep understanding of Supply chain Management, developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership: Guide, manage, and mentor the procurement team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
Strategy Development: Develop and implement innovative procurement strategies aligned with company objectives and cost-saving goals.
Supplier Management: Source, evaluate, and select suppliers, negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms, and maintain strong, long-term vendor relationships.
Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including requisitions, purchasing, receiving, and invoicing.
Cost Control: Monitor budgets, analyse procurement expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, relevant laws, and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Performance Improvement: Monitor supplier and team performance, identify areas for process improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, expenditures, and cost savings to management.
REQUIREMENT/QUALIFICATION
o Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
o Certifications in Supply Chain Management and Purchasing is an added advantage.
o 5-7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
o 3 + years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
o Strong negotiation and contract management skills
o Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
o Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suites
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
o Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
o Knowledge of Procurement regulations and compliance standards
o Experience with supplier relationship management
