[What the role is]We are looking for highly motivated and dynamic individuals to join the Choa Chu Kang Operations Department. You will be supporting the Senior Assistant Director to manage the conservancy, facilities management, the arborist and landscaping contracts at Choa Chu Kang Cemetery. You are required to work closely within a team, with other NEA departments as well as other partners and various government agencies/bodies.

[What you will be working on]

You will be responsible for the following:

Manage appointed contractors and other parties involved in facilities management to achieve optimal maintenance standard

Oversee the maintenance of equipment and machineries within the facilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations

Coordinate with the respective contractors and manage contracts, to ensure work is followed up promptly and in compliance with contract requirements.

Track work progression, and ensure reports are submitted as scheduled.

Work with the relevant agencies and stakeholders for related works.

Monitor and track timely approval of requirement, issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) and manage payment to contractor/ vendors.

Conduct regular Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) meetings and toolbox.

Respond, investigate, and resolve feedback from members of public and stakeholders.

Manage, plan and participate in operations for special annual festivals such as Qing Ming and Lunar 7th Month

Review and monitor current processes to enhance productivity and service standards.

Handle and manage feedback/appeals from members of public.

Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

[What we are looking for]

Requirements:

Background in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering is preferred

At least 5 years of working experience in facilities management, environmental public health, or other fields with operations or service management in a leadership position

Experience in contract management and leading a team

Able to lead, interact and foster teamwork

Able to handle adverse situations and difficult customers

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, e.g. excel functions, creative presentations

Good problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills

Pay attention to the fine details

Organised and able to multi-task

Mature, independent, responsible and resourceful

Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement

Willing to work in after-death care services environment

Able and willing to work on weekends and public holidays
