Tate & Lyle Global Shared Services Centre in Łódź is the principal location for handling the business support activities and processes for Tate & Lyle, both transactional as well as value-added business partnering support. Starting operations in 2011 with less than 50 people, we now have over 350 employees supporting operations globally. We have 30 teams operating in Łódź to provide service in the areas of Finance, Customer Service, Procurement, HR/People Services, and IS/IT
ROLE PURPOSE
In this position a person is responsible for the credit process, including the consistent application of Global Credit Standard, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers as well as making decisions regarding order releasing. It includes:
Managing a group of customer accounts to ensure credit risk is under controlled,
Anticipation and resolution of queries on customer accounts,
Work as a business partner for Sales Managers to enhance business growth.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Gathering and reviewing all information necessary to take a decision on credit limit value, payment terms approvals, credit risk reviews.
Providing recommendations on credit limit value, payment terms approvals, credit risk reviews in accordance with Global Credit Standard.
Highlighting any risk related to transactions with the T&L customers.
Performing periodic and ad-hoc credit reviews of existing customers.
Assessment of creditworthiness of new customers or potential customers.
Arrangements of all approvals in line with Global Credit Standards.
Review orders before manual release and escalate to Team Leader, Manager or Finance Director if any risk involved.
Daily, weekly and monthly reports preparation.
Handles queries and resolves problems within company guidelines and policy.
Ensuring the quality of supporting documentation – credit limit cases, non-std PyT cases.
Participation in internal and external audit.

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Degree/diploma in Finance and Accounting, Economy or a related field
AR experience gained in an international organization (ideally shared services).
Basic skills on MS Office applications, especially Excel
Fluent English in speaking and writing
SAP knowledge would be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Proactive mindset and a problem-solving approach.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Knowledge of other Orders to Cash processes would be an advantage
