Job Purpose
Our wholesale delivery drivers are responsible for the transportation and delivery of goods, typically in bulk, to various businesses, and retailers. This role requires safe and efficient driving skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and the keen eye of a detective to review orders for accuracy and completeness, ensuring timely and precise deliveries every time.
Duties & Responsibilities

Operate and maintain Springside Cheeseās delivery vehicle adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
Plan the most efficient delivery routes to ensure on-time deliveries while minimizing fuel and time costs.
Utilize GPS systems or other navigation tools to navigate unfamiliar areas.
Load merchandise into the delivery vehicle, ensuring products are securely stacked and organized to prevent damage during transit.
Unload goods at the delivery location, verifying the accuracy of the delivery against the order.
Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery receipts, invoices, and any discrepancies in orders.
Collect payments or proof of delivery as required.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, or issues related to deliveries.
Adhere to delivery schedules and deadlines to ensure punctual and reliable deliveries.
Communicate any delays or issues with direct supervisor and/or management team.
Handle goods with care to prevent damage.
Assist in inventory tracking and reporting, notifying the management team of any discrepancies or shortages.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure accuracy of fulfillment.
Assist in the retail store, fulfillment, and office when necessary.
Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
21 years of age or older.
Valid in-state driver's license (forklift driving experience preferred).
Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
Personal vehicle suitable for delivery use.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Willingness to make decisions on route adjustments when necessary.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Ability to operate a larger vehicle safely in adverse weather conditions.
Ability to professionally interact with customers and provide excellent customer service.
Working Conditions
The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
The worker is subject to extreme cold: Temperatures typically below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions such as wind and humidity.
The worker is subject to extreme heat: Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions such as wind and humidity.
The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
Physical Requirements
Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles
Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another
Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles
Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
