Job Description:

Identify and resolve technical challenges through regular interaction with all levels of the command hierarchy. Analyze problem areas and identify opportunities for improvement in mission-critical networks. Solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity; refer more complex issues to higher levels. Work under direct supervision. Assist with implementing and supporting hardware, software, and telephony systems which provide the infrastructure for customer support. Apply consulting and technical expertise. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor or supervise team members, if needed. Provide second-tier support to end-users for desktop or laptop systems, applications, hardware, and associative technical administrative applications, including the fielding, management, configuration, repair, and system programming aspects of hardware desktop and laptop support in an enterprise setting. Apply basic principles, theories, and concepts; limited industry knowledge.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with information systems customer support on networks, and in the client and server field

• Knowledge of PC operating systems MS-Windows, networking and mail standards

• Familiarity with NIPR/SIPR networks

• Ability to develop, lay out, prepare graphics using a computer system, write, and edit material for reports

• Secret clearance

• Security+ Certification (8570 compliance required)

Additional Qualifications:

• Knowledge of remote computing

• Knowledge of Help Desk operations

• Knowledge of Information Security Management

• Ability to perform software installations

• Ability to perform Technical Troubleshooting

• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills with a positive customer service attitude
