Since 1970 Precisionmatics has specialized in the manufacture of precision turned and turn/mill mechanical parts to customer specifications. With over 60 model CNC machines we are able to quote and run our customers’ parts using the correct type of machine for each specific application. Currently, Precisionmatics is seeking a Level I Quality Assurance (QA) Technician I to join our growing West Winfield based team.

The QA Technician I is responsible for the inspection of manufactured parts by obtaining dimensional features from drawings or prints, properly reading micrometers, calipers, profilometer, comparators, complex CMM, Keyence, Optical Scan Profile, and other inspection gauges. The QA Technician will support quality room inspections as well as shop floor requirements. Hours for this position are Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm.

Responsibilities:

Locate proper part inspection file from computer database (Common folder and Epicor).

Record dimensional data obtained to the proper line in the Master Inspection Report

Locate proper material certifications for the job being inspected

Review documentation and sign off as Level I Inspector

Inspect complex complexity parts as scheduled by Area Manager

Execute complex "Purchas Orders" for outside processing with minimal supervision

Complete Epicor documentation start to finish including scrap and/or non-conformance tags

Perform "first article" inspections with a Level III or above, review and sign off accordingly

Verify correctness and completeness of outside process vendors, issue Certificate of Conformance

Inspect and complete SPC, PPAP and control charts

Answer any questions from employees regarding quality procedures and technical issues related to specific product runs

Qualifications:

Prior QC, machining/manufacturing and/or CNC experience strongly desired

Solid math skills required, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Ability to read blueprints and use mics and other simple gages.

Must have strong work ethics and attention to detail.

Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills.

Good interpersonal communication skills are a must.

Self-motivated.

Ability to multi-task.

High school diploma, or equivalent required.

Experience with computers, printers, ERP,CMM Manager, Inspection Expert, Microsoft Product Suite, Keyence, Syvac Scan Profile Machine, profile meter
