The role:
The Bureau Veritas Group is currently seeking highly motivated team players who want to enter and advance their career in the field of ICT Procurement in Canberra.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-priority projects vital to Australia's defence strategy, to support broader government priorities, and drive value for money outcomes for our clients.
In this role,you will find yourself responsible for delivering end-to-end processes focusing on the delivery of procurement services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and develops strategic procurement policies
Prepare high-level planning and major supplier negotiations ensuring the acquisition of goods and services aligns with project requirements, budgets, and timelines while adhering to best practice standards and regulations
Prioritising and delivering key procurement initiatives aligned with Company business plans and purchasing strategies
Champion procurement best practice across a multi-business environment
Establish agreements with vendors and suppliers to manage, measure and drive performance, delivering effective and sustainable procurement outcomes
Maintaining communication with customers and ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Supplying quality, timely results and products to customers as per their requirements.
Scheduling and attending meetings (appropriate to your Business Unit).
Review and assess documentation to ensure compliance and adequacy.
About you:
You must hold and maintain a security clearance (Baseline or higher; NV1 preferred).
Bachelor's degree in commerce, economics, business, or a related discipline, or an MBA or equivalent.
A minimum of [10+] years of experience in advisory or consulting, with a proven ability to contribute to successful service delivery.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
