IT Specialist

Job Description

SGI Global is seeking IT Specialists to support the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District 5 Traffic Operations. These professionals will support the agency's sophisticated traffic management systems, focusing on administration, security, infrastructure, and special programs critical to transportation operations across Central Florida.

*Contingent on contract award*

Responsibilities:

Firewall & Web Filter Administration

Fortinet firewalls: Role and policy updates

FortiGate systems: Weekly audits, permission management, status monitoring

Server & Security Administration

VMWare, Veeam, Dell Compellent/Powerstore

Active Directory, RADIUS, security access request workflows via Atlassian Jira

Managing user roles and background clearances (CJIS, SLERS)

Special Program Support: Includes first-level support and coordination for:

Activu, Road Ranger App, iVDS, SunGuide, BlueMac

MIMS, ITS Facility Mgmt, SCCM/SCOM, Solarwinds

Any newly introduced or proprietary applications

Network Administration (Backup)

Support for Extreme/Brocade devices during non-standard hours (e.g., Fridays)

Workstation Support

Hardware setup, troubleshooting, inventory management, and end-user documentation

Qualifications

US Citizen.

Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience

Must complete all security and background screenings prior to start.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work full-time, 40 hours/week.
